Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to software products built and operated by Zenixhub Private Limited ("we", "us", "our"), including CampusLink — a school management system consisting of a mobile app and a companion web application used by schools, students, and parents — and EduActivity — a home study companion app used directly by individual students and their families. It explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who can access it, and how it is protected. Sections 1–6 below describe CampusLink's data practices specifically; EduActivity's own practices are described in the dedicated "EduActivity — Product-Specific Practices" section further down this page, since the two products collect different information in different ways.
1. Information We Collect
To operate a school's day-to-day academic and administrative functions, CampusLink collects:
- Student identity data: full name, admission number, class/section, and enrollment details.
- Attendance records: daily attendance and leave application data.
- Academic records: homework, exam marks/results, timetable, and teacher diary entries.
- Fee and payment records: fee structure, receipts, dues, and payment history relevant to the student's account.
- Parent/guardian contact information: name, phone number, and email address, used for school-to-parent communication.
- Login credentials: usernames and passwords. Passwords are stored only as one-way cryptographic hashes — we cannot see or recover a user's actual password.
- Device and usage data: if diagnostic or crash-reporting data is generated by the app, it is limited to technical information (such as app version and device type) needed to fix bugs. CampusLink does not use advertising or tracking SDKs.
2. Why We Collect This Information
Data is collected solely to provide core school management functionality, including:
- Recording and reporting student attendance.
- Managing fee collection and payment history.
- Maintaining academic records — homework, exams, and timetables.
- Enabling communication between the school and parents/students (notifications, leave approvals, transport updates).
- Authenticating users so that each person can only access their own school's data.
3. Who Can Access Your Data
CampusLink is a multi-tenant platform — each school's data is logically isolated from every other school's. Data belonging to one school is never visible to, or accessible by, staff or users of a different school on the platform.
- School staff/administrators of a student's own school can access records needed for their role (e.g. a class teacher can see their students' attendance and homework).
- Parents and students can access only their own academic, attendance, and fee records — never another student's.
- Zenixhub Private Limited (as the platform operator) accesses data only as needed to operate, maintain, and support the platform — never to sell or repurpose it.
4. Data Storage & Security
- All data is hosted on Microsoft Azure, in an India-based data region.
- All data in transit between the app and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
- Passwords are never stored, logged, or displayed in plain text — only as one-way hashes.
- Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel who need it to operate the platform.
5. Data Retention
Student and school data is retained for as long as the student's enrollment or the school's account remains active on the CampusLink platform. If a school discontinues use of the platform, data is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for transition, legal, or record-keeping purposes, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
6. Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share student, parent, or school data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. CampusLink does not integrate any advertising SDKs or third-party analytics/tracking libraries. Data is not shared outside the platform except where required to provide the service itself (e.g. our cloud hosting provider, Microsoft Azure) or where required by law.
7. Children's Privacy
CampusLink is used by students who may be minors, as part of a school's official enrollment and administration process. Because access to CampusLink is provisioned directly by the school (not through open public sign-up), the school and/or the student's parent or guardian are responsible for consenting to the collection and use of the student's data as part of the school enrollment process, in accordance with applicable law. Parents may contact their school administration, or us directly at the email below, with any questions about their child's data.
8. Your Rights
Parents and students may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data (subject to the school's record-keeping obligations) by contacting their school administration or writing to us directly using the contact details below.
EduActivity — Product-Specific Practices
EduActivity is a home study companion app (web and Android) used directly by an individual student and their family — unlike CampusLink, it is not provisioned by a school and does not operate on a multi-tenant, per-school basis. The practices below describe EduActivity specifically and take precedence over the general CampusLink-oriented sections above wherever the two differ.
Information We Collect
- Account credentials: a username and password chosen by the family. Passwords are stored only as one-way cryptographic hashes — we cannot see or recover a user's actual password.
- Student profile: the student's name and grade (1–12), entered directly by whoever creates the account.
- Study activity: homework check-ins and records, study session logs, self-added revision topics, and progress/scores on the in-app Math Challengers and Algebra Challenge practice games.
- Device and usage data: only the technical information needed to operate the app (e.g. app version). EduActivity does not use advertising SDKs or third-party analytics/tracking libraries.
Why We Collect This Information
Solely to provide the app's core functionality for that one family: letting the student track homework and study sessions, see curriculum content for their grade, and practice with the Math Challengers and Algebra Challenge games.
Who Can Access Your Data
Only the person signed into that account can see its data. EduActivity has no concept of teachers, school administrators, or other families accessing it. Zenixhub Private Limited, as the platform operator, accesses data only as needed to operate, maintain, and support the app — never to sell or repurpose it.
Children's Privacy
EduActivity is designed to be used by a student who may be a minor, with the account created and managed directly by that student's parent or guardian — there is no school enrollment step in between. By creating an account, the parent or guardian is confirming they consent to the collection and use of their child's information as described here. Parents may contact us at any time using the details below with questions about their child's data, or to request its deletion.
Account & Data Deletion
A signed-in user can permanently delete their account and all associated data (profile, homework history, study session history, and game progress) at any time from within the app itself, under Profile → Delete Account. This action is immediate and cannot be undone.
Data Storage & Security
Data is hosted on Microsoft Azure, in an India-based data region, encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. We do not sell, rent, or share EduActivity data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal/regulatory reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
